Surrealism:
What is Surrealism?
Surrealism is a cultural movement that began in the early 1920s, and is best known for its visual artworks and writings. The aim was to "resolve the previously contradictory conditions of dream and reality." Artists painted unnerving, illogical scenes with photographic precision, created strange creatures from everyday objects and developed painting techniques that allowed the unconscious to express itself.

Photographer: Tommy Ingberg
Who is he?
Tommy Ingberg is a passionate Swedish photographer working primarily in black and white and is fond of creating surrealistic montages, which he often creates after photographing in his studio. His artistic creativity strives for simple, scaled back compositions with few elements, where every part adds to the story, but where there are still gaps for the viewer to fill, many of which produce a "surrealist" end result.

His work:
I really like these photo's because of the fact that they're are different, and I love different it creates more of an affect to the viewer and it stands out more. These photo's have inspired me to create similar photo's of my own, I have experimented before with facial editing and making someones face look different however this time I want to take it a step further and do more on perspective photography. I really like the use of depth of field in this picture and how the person fades away to give the effect that the person is disappearing into the vanishing point.

2nd Shoot
In this photo I tried to capture the same effect as Tyler Jordan by putting the head in a different place. In his photo he put the head in the washing machine where as in my photo the head is in the glass window.
Mirror Surrealism
In these photo's I created the opposite effect of a mirror by showing what is through the mirror rather than what is being reflected. Which creates a really surreal effect of reflection.
